Volunteer to create digital content for our synchronous and asynchronous modules on My Big Campus
Assist in bringing more needy children to our open and free platform.
Tamarind Tree runs a school in Dahanu, with over a hundred tribal children from Classes 1-10. Prior to the pandemic, students were logging on to our learning platform for their course content and being mentored by our teachers in a blended learning format. These students are familiar with digital and online learning and at ease with the platform. They will join be joining your class, from their remote villages.
With the lockdown, My Big Campus has been opened up for children pan India. So the learners on our platform include children from different parts of India, aiming to access high quality education. We have many children from Maharashtra as well from Telangana and Tamil Nadu. See the age and geographical spread of learners.
I still remember the first time I spoke to the Tamarind Tree team, about teaching English online. I was so skeptical but they ensured me I’d be just fine and I’m so glad I trusted them. The kind of infrastructure and facilities provided by Tamarind Tree for the children to be able to actively learn online has been nothing short of spectacular and it really has made my teaching experience so exciting. I’ve been able to use and explore different tools such as short films, stories, quizzes to school the children which has not only enhanced their education but also kept them thoroughly engaged! It really has been my sunshine during these gloomy days of COVID19.
